How to Copy MT5 Pending Orders Without Losing Track of Modifications

Pending orders look simple on a chart, but they have more moving parts than a market order. The entry price, order type, expiry, stop loss, and take profit can all change before the order triggers. Your demo test should cover those changes.

Know which order is being copied

Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop each have a different relationship with the current market price. Confirm that the follower receives the same order type rather than an immediate market position.

Watch the order after it is placed

Change the pending price or cancel the order on the master. The follower should not be left with an old order that no longer matches the plan. If expiry is important to your strategy, test that separately.

Check the trigger

When the pending order becomes a position, compare the resulting direction, volume, SL, and TP. Spread and execution conditions can differ between brokers, so use the demo result as a verification step, not a promise of identical fills.

A sensible way to test it

  1. Write down the expected result before sending the demo trade.
  2. Check the terminal history and the copier logs, not only the chart.
  3. Change one setting at a time so you know which adjustment fixed the issue.

TradeCopierr is designed to make the copying route easier to inspect, but the final setup still depends on your broker, account type, symbols, permissions, and chosen settings. Use a demo account while you are learning the behavior, then decide whether the setup is appropriate for your own risk plan.
