Broker Account Checks Before Using an MT5 Trade Copier
Most copier setup problems are not mysterious. They come from a difference between the account you tested and the account you connected. Check the broker's symbols, contract details, account mode, permissions, and terms before placing the first live trade.
Check the account mode and contract
Record whether the account is netting or hedging, the contract size, minimum volume, volume step, and stop-level rules. These details affect whether a copied order can be accepted.
Open Market Watch and compare symbols
Write down the exact names for the instruments you use. A suffix or a different gold symbol can make a valid master trade impossible to place on the follower until it is mapped.
Read the broker terms
Confirm that the planned use of EAs, copy trading, VPS access, and multiple accounts is permitted. If the broker has questions, ask them before funding the account.
A sensible way to test it
- Write down the expected result before sending the demo trade.
- Check the terminal history and the copier logs, not only the chart.
- Change one setting at a time so you know which adjustment fixed the issue.
TradeCopierr is designed to make the copying route easier to inspect, but the final setup still depends on your broker, account type, symbols, permissions, and chosen settings. Use a demo account while you are learning the behavior, then decide whether the setup is appropriate for your own risk plan.
